Emir of Hadejia Turbans Former M.D JBC Baffa Bura as 1st Barwan Hadejia
His Highness Alhaji Abubakar turbaned Baffa Bura Muhammad as the 1st Barwan Hadejia Emirate. The event which took place Yesterday, 20th May, 2023 around 12:ooam at Hadejia Emir's Palace.
Mabudi Trust News reports that the Saturday Turbaning Ceremony attracted several eminent personalities from all walks of life. We can all attest to the fact that the new Mabudi of Hadejia brings many qualities to the title. What stands him out for this role is his compassion and belief in upholding human dignity at all levels and he carried all family members along.
Mabudi family deserves the honour received yesterday from the people of Hadejia Emirate. May Allah bless the position. I believe the family will continue to contribute to the development of Hadejia Emirate, Jigawa State and Nigeria in general.
RELATED TO THE BRIEF HISTORY OF THE LIFE OF NEW BARWAN HADEJIA ALHAJI BAFFA BURA MUHAMMAD
The Title of BARWA is one of the king's servants for a long time in the Hausa countries including the Hadejia emirate. At this time His Majesty the Emir of Hadejia, Alh. Dr. Adamu Abubakar Maje CON Alhaji appoint Baffa Bura Muhammad this position of Barwa as a title holder.
This is contained in the Hadejia Emirate council document with the signature of the council secretary which shows the approval of the Jigawa State Government No. JG/CRS/CA/ADM/II/Vol 7/176 dated 24/3/2023.
Alhaji Baffa was given this title based on his relationship with the kingdom, his ancestors and forefathers .
Also, the kind of contribution he is giving in different matters of the development of the Hadejia kingdom is considered. He was a descendant of the House of Mabudin Hadejia who through his late father Alhaji Muhammad Walwal (Magajin Tukura) was the grandson of Mabudi Zakar son of Mabudi Abubakar Hausa.
In the descendants of Mabudi, the name Zakar is given the title - martyr as he was martyred with King Muhammad the Martyr in the Hadejia war with the Europeans in 1906. On his mother's side, Hajja Dija is the grandson of Mabudi Malam Bura Abubakar Hausa.
Baffa Bura Muhammad is a former radio and television officer who worked in various departments of Kano Radio and CTV (ARTV) from 1980 to 1988, after his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in media work.
He also worked as a public relations officer where he was the head of the former Bank of the North from 1988 to 2006. Then he became the head of the first public relations department of Unity Bank from 2006 to 2007.
He was the head of Jigawa State Radio Commission (Managing Director JBC) from 2008 to 2011.
Then Alh. Baffa Bura Muhammad He worked part-time lecturing in the department of journalism and mass communication (Department of Mass Communication) of Bayero University (BUK) in Kano from 2012 to 2017, and part-time work in the field of public relations at Jigawa State University Sule Lamido University (SLU) Kafin Hausa from 2017 to date.
Baffa Bura Muhammad was born at Tudun Mabudi (kachallami Qtrs.) in Hadejia town on May 20, 1956. After starting Qur’anic education in Lungun Malamai kachallami quarters , he studied at Dallah school (Central Primary/Abdulkadir Primary School) Hadejia . He then joined Hadejia Government High School (GSSH) from 1970 to 1974. Then ABC/ABU Kano from 1974 to 1975 for preparatory studies to enter university. Then from 1975 to 1978 he attended Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, where he graduated with a degree in History (B.A History). He studied for a Master's Degree in Media where he obtained (MCA) at the University of Ibadan. He also attended many colleges inside and outside the country including Holborn College in London (Holborn College) in 1993.
He also obtained a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Bayero University, Kano (BUK) in 2004.
He is an expert in presenting programs, some of which have the highest level of public relations organization (Fellow Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Fnipr). He excelled in introducing the celebrations of the bank he worked with and the celebrations of the Hadejia emirate, which included the ceremony of handing over the scepter by the Emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje CON, in 2003 and the centenary of the Hadejia war with the Europeans, and there are many festivals.
Baffa Bura Muhammad is one of the supporters of Hadejia emirate development issues, where he was one of the founding members of the Hadejia emirate student association (HESA), and the Hadejia emirate development association (HEDA) for thirty years ago .
He is a person who loves the people, who contributes to the development of the people. This made him a member of the Fanisau neighborhood development group in Hadejia town. In terms of family, he has a wife and seven children.
His Majesty the Emir of Hadejia Alh. (DR) Adamu Abubakar Maje CON and the Chairman of the Council of Chiefs of Jigawa State confirmed him the title of First Barwa of Hadejia on the 20th of May 2023.
