A Tribute to a Quintessential Police Officer, Apex Peace Maker and a Counselor, SP Baffa Mukhtar;
Late Baffa was borne on 12th June year 1979 in Kachallami Quarters Hadejia Jigawa State, in the noble family of Mabudin Hadejia. SP Baffa Mukhtar started his educational sojourn at Dubantu Primary School Hadejia in the year 1984 to 1990; he attended Government Secondary School Famfo Gamo Hadejia in the 1990 to 1996. The deceased obtain his Nigeria Certificate in Education (N. C. E) at College of Education Gumel, Jigawa State In the year 1996 to 2000. He furthered his education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Where he obtained his Bachelors of Education in Islamic Religious Studies with second class Honors(Upper division) in the year 2007, he obtained his Master’s degree in Curriculum in Umar Musa Yar'aduwa University, Katsina State . In view of his Doctorate degree, before his death, Late Baffa is studying PhD. Curriculum and Instruction (Educational Foundation) at the Federal University Dutsimma.
SP Abubakar Baffa Mukhtar who was widely called Mallam Baffa Bibi within the family circle during His life . Mallam Baffa happened to be one of the most compassionate brothers I ever interacted with, he is an honest and upright individual with a strong conviction for doing what is right. His words are always full of encouragements, admonitions, learning and helping the younger ones.
My intimate relationship with late Baffa dated back to 90s during our child upbringing, he taught us at a very tender age to never play with our prayers, Islamic education, Western education and house routines as he even rectifies us with some lashes when we failed to do so. He is the first person to enroll us in to evening and night Islamiyya schools. Up until our maturity he counseled and guided us, helping us in our career aspirations, business engagements etc.
Mallam Baffa is beyond all I described him. The demise of Mallam Baffa is a great lost not only to his family but to the entire people of Hadejia and Nigeria at large. SP Baffa was a blessings to the family and a miracle berry to the Nigerian Police Force, the amazing things with the late Baffa is that, he succeeded his father late SP Mukhtar Muhammed Walwal who was popularly known as Saje Mutari in the family circle. As fate would have it, they all worked under the same umbrella with his father, served in the same State and vacate the Nigerian Police Force with the same rank and indeed Katsina State was their last place of assignment.
Before his demise, Mallam Baffa was the Chief Imam Katsina State Police Command. He left behind his wife, five children,and his brothers and sisters.
We pray for Allah Azzawajal to place the gentle soul of Mallam Baffa among the righteous servants who will dwell among gardens of jannah , firmly established in the favour of a mighty king. May Allah Grant him the best bounties in His bounties. May Allah (SWT) Grant him Jannatul Firdaus as his final abode. We pray for Allah to give his family the courage to bear the lost.
